Nobody knows what she looks like or where she lives. All we know is that Tavi is a trained opera singer who sometimes likes to cooperate with producers such as Windom R. But most importantly, we can show you how her majestic voice has the power to shroud a track in mystery, reflecting her own enigmatic existence. Be Ready To Fly, this imprint by Windom R on Kiosek Records, is a testament to that. Combining Tavi's deep vocals with intoxicating strings and nagging synth lines, it is a brooding breaks number that betrays this Russian breaks producer's love of jazz and dub. But his exploration of the deeper, slower, moodier side of breaks starts with Voice From Above, a collaboration with beatmaker Bumble-beetz. This track sets the dreamy atmosphere of the release, but slides more groove under it with a rolling beat and a chunky bassline.
